“Suwa Araksha Health Services Unit”

In line with the concept introduced by the Hon. Governor of the North Central Province to promote healthy living and encourage positive health practices for a happier life, the “Suwa Araksha Health Services Unit” was ceremonially inaugurated on 18.05.2026 at 10.00 a.m. within the premises of the Provincial Ministry of Health Office under the patronage of the Hon. Governor.

The following health services were made available at the event:

Blood Pressure Screening

Blood Sugar Testing

Body Mass Index (BMI) Calculation

Guidance and Awareness on Healthy Lifestyle Practices

The occasion was attended by the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province, Mr. J.M.R.P. Jayasinghe, the Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Mrs. R.M.D.P. Pushpakumari, Ministry Secretaries, the Provincial Director of Health Services, and other government officials.
